Texture Creation


I have some data that I want to pass as a texture to the fragment shader. I have tried creating a textur and passing it as described in the orange book and all the values seem to be 0. This should be possible to do shouldn’t it? Could anyone point me to a reference that shows how to create a texture in a program and then pass it to the fragment shader?
