Render from a new thread

I saw that you have to call this:

glXMakeCurrent(glXGetCurrentDisplay(), glXGetCurrentDrawable(), ?? )

if you want to start rendering from a new thread. I don’t understand the third parameter.

Any clues? (I saw this: and still dont get it).
