Raster position in 3.3

Core 3.3 seems to have killed off both glRasterPos and glWindowPos. So how to position bitmaps and text strings? Thanks in advance,

Render them as textures on polygons (triangles). In order to render in screenspace, here is an example with old GL

so build that kind of matrix and upload it to your shader and render your polygons.
