Nurb surface - Material properties

I have called gluNurbsSurface 4 times to create Nurb surface, which looks like human lip. But, this surface is not coming with same color each time I call gluNurbssurface (in my case i am calling 4 times). I have declared all necessary material and light properties just one time. Can somebody suggest me how to achieve same color all thro’ surface. I am trying to create red color human lip shape from this program
