Model faces not being lit correctly.

I have a directional light that points straight down. I also have a model that is draw 4 times by using glRotate.

4 of the models have a bunch of faces that are not being lit correctly.

using glEnable(GL_NORMALIZE) seems to help slightly but doesn’t fix it.

Any idea what could be causing it?

Its not very clear from the screen shots which objects are not being lit correctly.
However, generally when you have a problem like this; draw the normals so you can see the direction in which they have been defined.
I assume you are using the fixed function pipeline?
