has anyone gotten OpenGl to draw so that it does not block out every behind the window or is this impossiable
It is possible on Mac OS X 10.2 and later to get the destination alpha of the OpenGL context used to blend the OpenGL image with content behind the window.
If you look in the iDevGames forums, you should find a thread called something like “fun with Jaguar” which discusses how to do this.
