How do i test accuracy of an opengl library?

hi all,
i just wanted to know which is the best way to test a opengl library, especially for accuracy.

  1. subjective testing?
  2. pixel-to-pixel matching?
  3. analysis using scientific tools like histograms/correlative scores/error metrics?

wht does an average open source programmer do to test his own implementation when he cant afford the conformance test suites?

please give advice. thanks!
