glReadPixels too slow

Hi there,

I’m trying to get frame buffer using glReadPixels, but it is too slow.

  1. For 720x480, the time is 50ms.
  2. For 1280x720, the time is 100ms.

I use PBuffer to render “offscreen”.

Is there anyway to make glReadPixels faster?

Use Frame Buffer object
you need to google next opengl commands: glGenFramebuffers, glFramebufferTexture2D
