Breaks appearing while using GL_LINE_STRIP

hi all…

am using GL_LINE_STRIP for rendering a linear curve like structure…

but at certain points…

the vertices remain unconnected…

some breaks appear…

wat might be the reason for that??

help needed… pls… :o :o :?: :!:

Which implementation is this?

  • HM

am using Vincent implementation…

i dont know wat the problem is…
help needed…

Yes, there are known bugs in the old code base. I fixed that for the SC version.

oh… dats fine…
tanx 4 ur replies…

can u give me the link from where i can download that SC verison?? !!

It’s probably going to be one more week; I’ll let you know. But just to set expectations, that version is not going to include dynamic code generation yet, which is still in the works.

hi…

so…
can u give me a suggestion then…
like… am now involved in developin a map rendering software… for smartphones…
am just using VS 2005 platform…
and for graphics… this OpenGL ES 1.0… vincent implementation…

the primary graphics involved majorly would just consist of lines, texts and curves… alone…
(ofcourse with colors…)
but i have only three months of time…
so… which one of the OGLES version would be better… for me to develop my software??

tanx in advance…

:expressionless: :? :expressionless:

Looks like an awfully tight timeline…

You might need to investigate the issue yourself then, and maybe come up with a fix to contribute back to the project???

Thanks,
HM

PS: How about using a specialized library, such as egml (http://www.tesbv.com/index.php?site=TES_EN_2_egml).

  • HM

hi… tanx yaar…

but i cannot download that eGML thing from that site…

anyway… currently… i thot of using some raw rendering techniques such as AGG…

btw… can u give me some ideas from where i can get the source code for OGLES 1.0??

vl try to fix the bug…
