I am using the Borland command-line compiler version 5.5. I know how to use it and have no problems using it to compile simple openGL programs without textures.
Every example code I have seen uses auxDIBImageLoad to load textures. But no matter which example I choose I always get this error:
Error: Unresolved external ‘auxDIBImageLoadA’ referenced from C:\CPP\OPENGL\MAIN.OBJ
I also tried to compile the same code using Dev-C++ but get this error:
no matching function for call to `_AUX_RGBImageRec::
If I download compiled OpenGL applications using textures I have no problem to run them so I do not think that anything is wrong with my installation of OpenGL.
Posting code doesn’t make much sence since it’s the exact NeHe (http://nehe.gamedev.net/) texture example so I don’t think that anything is wrong with the code.
Do you perhaps need to include some extra libs in the exe to use textures? Currently I am compiling as a GUI application and adding the following libs:
PS: My texture is a 128x128 bmp
