openGL and TNT2-M64

Pentium III 800
Via Apollo Pro Chipset with Gigabyte mobo
TNT2m64 32mb
128mb RAM

I’ve had heaps of problems using my m64 with just about any 3d game, but i recently noticed a trend. Every time i tried to run a game in openGL, the game would start to load and then just before it starts, lines of …static or junk…start to run across the screen and eventually fill it up. My system would then roll over and die.

I’ve tried just about every combination of drivers, both for my chipset and 3d card…no go…i’ve tinkered around a bit with the settings, but sadly i dont really know what im doing there…

can somebody help me out?
