KOTOR game problem

The game starts up perfectly with the videos then it goes to the main menu where its all black and white , you could see the guy but hes a white.Can I upgrade the opengl or what can I do? Heres my info

it pases everything except for the opengl.

Sorry to say that but your 3d card is way to old and to slow to play that game. You need a OpenGL 1.4 compliant card for example a ATI 9500/9600 or Nvidia GeforceFX or better.

But beware the Geforce FX 5200 is cheap but slow.

Well your video card is quite old… its kinda like wanting HDTV/surround sound on an old 13" black and white television with one speaker.

I am an unfortunate user of a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, and I got to say that playing KOTOR in windowed mode 1024 *768 with everything turned out actually works quite well, i also get medium frame rates 40 - 50 in other modern games as well.

I do intend to upgrade but for a price tag of £70 -£80 it’s not a rubbish card.

No, the FX5200 is crap. There are much better cards out there in the same price range. That’s not to say the FX5200 doesn’t work… just not as well as other cards.

I got problems with KOTOR, too.

in my Notebook i have an ATI Radeon 7500.

right now i am not using Open Gl 1.4.
is my graphics card still able to use it or do i have to buy a new one?

and: where can i download 1.4??

I jst ant 2 say On my PC KOTOR lods up I have made my character click on play and it loads up then the screen goes black and it doesnt responed! What can I do?
