Where's OpenGL 3?

Where’s the promised OpenGL 3 specification?

You should expect a lot of new information about OpenGL during SIGGRAPH, specifically at the OpenGL BOF on Aug 13.

Well my concern is that if developers were not given enough time to release stable implementation then it will be more burden added to the developers than a relief. The spec should be out by now, and before Aug.

Why do you open up a new thread, just to discuss the very same things, as discussed here already?

Just post to the end of the thread, no one expects you to read all of it, if you haven’t already.

Wait… you didn’t get your copy?

Oh man, this stuff is gold, you should really email someone about getting your copy…

(this is how you should have all replied, silly people with your helpful answers :stuck_out_tongue:

Plainly implementations will follow spec availability by a non zero amount - that’s the way the process works.

It’ll be a lot easier to go into more detail on this after SIGGRAPH. Sorry I don’t have any way to get around that.

so the rumors about developing a time machine weren’t true then :frowning:
