ways of enabling fsaa other than WGL_ARB_multisample?

since i’m getting awful performance with pbuffers stuff (less than 1/3 speed when compared to draw to frame buffer + copy to tex, oh btw i’m running a geforce4 4600, 42.86 drivers) i thought anti-aliasing using with pbuffers might be very slow too
so i was wondering if there’s any other way to do that (in hardware obviously)
