Uncompress Draco files

Hi all,

We have been using gltf-pipeline to compress gltf files via Draco compression. Thanks gltf-pipeline team. But there seems no option to “uncompress” the same “Draco” compressed files. Any other utilities out there ?.

three.js editor would be one option. I’m not sure if there’s a CLI utility. See Command to uncompress Draco · Issue #382 · CesiumGS/gltf-pipeline · GitHub. Note that Draco compression is lossy, so you wouldn’t want to repeatedly compress and decompress a file.

Thx again Don. Did’nt realize that “Draco” was lossy. It is hard to discern with our eyes. Will keep your suggestion in mind. I expect to “decompress” only once. Incidentally Google’s Draco project they use the term “decoder” for “decompression”. Is this right ?.

Correct, they mean the same thing (in this case at least).
