Unclosed geometry for Stencil Shadows


Is there any solution to use unclosed geometry for Z-Fail shadow volumes ?

I seen in Doom3 some models was unclosed.

What do you think about this problem ?

Some of it is quite confusing. Feel free to ignore those parts, they’re not very helpful anyways. The solution I gave in the almost end of that long thread should work for models with holes. Maybe you’ll find some other tips there too.
