Triangle Stripping

Hey there all, just wondering if anyone’s seen anything on triangle stripping… basically I’m looking for something that can be used to calculate decent triangle strips based on a pre-triangulated model. Any help would be appreciated.


The STRIPE algorithm is one of the most common. Should be able to find it by searching for it on the web or in a paper database. It performs greedy search to generate triangle strips.

Have you or anyone else seen any information around regarding extracting Triangle Strip data directly from 3d Studio Max? Basically max creates it’s own triangle strips for internal use… (at least that’s my understanding of it)
