SLI OpenGL programming

I am having a hard time (to say the least!) optimizing my application for SLI (either SLIAA or AFR). The drivers have a lot of problems that come and go with different driver releases. It seems that OpenGL SLI support is not thoroughly tested at nVidia.

I am sure that game companies (like Id Software) get very good support from nVidia, which compensates for driver problems (even though I found problems in Quake Wars with recent nVidia drivers!). However, at a smaller scale, developing on SLI seems very difficult.

Nevertheless, I was wondering if there were some developers on OpenGL.org that have good experience with SLI programming. I would need some cheer up and hear good success stories, … otherwise I think a will simply ignore SLI altogether.

There’s a recent SLI documentation update at nvidia’s developers website. Never used it myself though…
