Shader with Rendermonkey 1.6 and ATI X800

i would like to write vertex and pixel shader in rendermonkey 1.6. my graphic card ati x800 supports smartshader hd. i thougt it is possible to write the shader with all offered functionality. I am using OpenGl Shading language.

but if i tried to use while or for statements rendermonkey gives an error message called: shader will run in software - unsupported language element. and the preview window is just black.

i have no idea why that doesn’t work

For looping support you will need a card with PS 3.0. For example Geforce 6 series.
