I am having a problem with a .dae file which contains an object with 50% opacity. The file worked fine but I could import it into iBooks as it was too large so I am trying to reduce the file size by reducing the polycount.
I have tried remeshing in zBrush, Blender, Maya, Meshlab and uv mapping again but nothing is helping to get rid of the ugly appearance of the object. The transparent object looks pixelated/covered in seams even though I have tried everything to fix it when i remesh it all that happens is that the horrible pixel/seam pattern changes.
Any suggestions would be fantastic… I am all out of ideas! See images for a better idea of what I am talking about!
