RivaTNT2 - Mandrake 10.0 - OpenGL Error

Hi,

I use Riva TNT2 with Mandrake 10.0 and when I type in console glxgears, the console write:

Xlib: extension “GLX” missing on display “:0.0”.
Error: couldn’t get an RGB, Double-buffered visual

My /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 have:

Section “Device”
Identifier “device1”
VendorName “nVidia Corporation”
BoardName “RIVA TNT2”
Driver “nv”
Option “DPMS”
EndSection

I already change Driver “nv” to Driver “nvidia”,
but my X did not work.

I already used the nvidia driver for www.nvidia, but my X did not work too.

Someone can help me?

Load “glx” # 3D layer

Just checking as though new here I have just recently resolved this issue.

1. Did you install the actual opengl nvidia driver having first closed your X session?

2. When restarting your X session did you see the nvidia splash screen?

My set up is simular to yours and the biggest headache I had was ensuring I got the right nvidia driver for my system. [ nvidia-installer-1.0.6.tar.gz && nvidia-settings-1.0.tar.gz ]
