i am trying to make a radiosity preprocessor. i am facing a problem in subdividing a triangle into patches. could someone post a link to a page that could help?
or, could someone give me some help in this regard?
i want to use square patches of fixed size.

Your a brave man, I (out of lazieness) prefer to use 3ds-max to create textures rendered with radiosity.
But If your serios about this do you have the book Real Time Rendering byMoller and Haines.
If not get it, its pretty expensive but worth while. pages 269 talk about the subdivison page 285 has good techniques for what you want.
Well I know you probably didnt whant a reference to a book, but it is a good book
