In college I used to program on a SGI 4D power series using Irix 5.3 and the FORMS libraries to make the GUI. I ve saved the code and Im interested in getting it to work again.
With technology always improving im sure the advantages like alpha plane rendering done in the hardware, probably dont matter that much.
I guess, im looking for a how to get back into programming with Opengl. I’ve heard that open gl programming can happen in a microsoft environment. Where can i go to get a basic sgi program for examples for windows… IE do I have togo out and buy an SGI to get this code to work?
