OS X

This is probably a dumb question, but:
Is OpenGL a part of OS X? like built in? I haven’t seen the answer to this question anywhere… I had OS X form 10.0.04 Beta or whatever and have just been updating it eversince… do I need to Download OpenGL?
I had a demo of Return to Castle Wolfenstein and it woud not let me play it because it said something about not having Open GL… I am very confused. please help.

You really haven’t seen this answer anywhere? There’s a huge graphic on apple’s developer site that shows OpenGL sitting side byt side with Cocoa.
Yes it’s built it. And it’s fast. Just make suer your accelerator is supported. Some are only supported in software mode.
