OpenGL for FreeBSD

What is way to install OpenGL in FreeBSD for the fastest performance? With X or without? Thanks

I’m just wondering what windowing system you will be using other than X.

Also, what about testing your apps in both, and seeing which one runs it faster?

All windows managers for *nix system are at least based off of X but to run OpenGL you do need one of them. I know nvidia makes drivers for Linux and BSD, not sure about ATI. But if your video card maker dose not make drivers you would just use DRI. DRI is open source 3d drivers.
