Normals/tectures/colors

I just created a model in 3d studio max and exported it to a ASE file to import. I understand how I use the faces and vertex’s to put the model together but what do I need to pull out to keep the colors I used in the model?

You have to check a checkbox that sais “export normals” or similar.
For colors, use materials, adn tell teh exporter to export material info too.

But how in opengl do I use it?
