Need Texture Mapping Help

I’ve got a problem with Texturemapping.
What I want to do:
I’am rendering a Terrain using RAW images.
No I want to Texture this Terrain.

My SurfaceImage has a size of 1024*1024.
It’s the same size like my Terrain.

Does any one here knows how to manage this?

you have a height map generated terrain? use glTexGen to gerate the texcoords automatically.
