is there anything that i can do to find out what my video card is (like typing something in the command prompt?)
Click the right button on an empty space on the desktop when click ‘properties’ then click on the ‘settings tab’.
Your graphics card should be displayed there.
If you’re dying to type something into a command box, and you have DirectX installed, you can click ‘Start’, then ‘Run’, and type ‘dxdiag’ which will display the DirectX Diagnostic tool. The ‘Display’ tab will have much information about your display device.
If you don’t have DirectX installed this won’t work, whereas the method above is guaranteed to work.
Thanks for the help.
