Manging 100 textures

Hello, I0m making an application with java(an mp3 player) and I need to show, elt’s say, 100 covers. I 'm thinking that a 25625632(RGBA) is an idela size, specially if i want to show that number of covers.

Each will use 0.25 Mb(right?) so a hundred will use 25 Mb. If I want to show more, any algorithm for eliminate and load the covers “on demand”?.
Should I use a game engine? as Jmonkey?, nay other engine?.

I need more ideas.

but last time the question was how to manage 1000 covers. maybe we can get him down to 10 finally :stuck_out_tongue:
