Linux + opengl + quadhead + 4monitors

Is it possible it have a quadhead card run an OpenGL graphics application across multiple heads under Linux?

I have read multi head cards work for 2D applications like a spreadsheet, but have never heard it mentioned when in the 3D world.

I know Windows does something like this w/ DirectX. Microsoft Flight Simulator can allow DirectX to use all the heads to play the game. One head for forward view, one for the instruments, one for left window, and one for the right window.

Anyone know where I should dig to find out?
