How to renovates the screen when mouse check?

Now I want to write a game in linux system.
Start game and first I check the mouse in
the screen.Nothing display and then I let this
windows smallest.Next let it largest,the the "X"display. Every time I want to display a “x”
when I check the mouse,I will change the windows again and again.How can I do? :confused:
