How to compare two vedio card.

Can somebody tell me what factors are important? Any benchmark available? Thanks!

should be in end-user questions, right?

but anyway. important things to me when looking at a video card are: opengl compliant drivers. drivers available for linux. lots of vram. speed. agp (you don’t want a pci video card. at least not for your primary card). and most importantly: is it the fastest consumer-grade card that money can buy right now, and is there a better one coming out next week, or not till next month?

the two top of the line video cards right now are the geForce2 gts and the voodoo5 5500.

specs, benchmarks, and reviews can be found such places as http://www.tomshardware.com/ and sharkyextreme.com .

Thank you very much!
P.S. Your homepage is so cool.
