Hardware Cursor Support Needed for OpenGL

I wish that Hardware Cursor Support would be written into the OpenGL API So that OpenGL could utilize Hardware Cursor Support. I play World of Warcraft in Linux thru Wine and i have a sluggish Cursor and it really gets annoying. So please if someone could code that into the OpenGL API i would really appreciate it and so would lots of other Linux gamers playing World of Warcraft on Linux.


hardware cursors are the concern of the operating system, not the 3D graphics API. There’s no reason not to use hardware cursors in an application using OpenGL - why blizzard chose not to use them is something you should ask blizzard.
