Wolfenstein is OpenGL… DirectX has no bearing.

What is your VIDEO CARD?

I am having the same issue with Jedi Academy. I am using an older voodoo3 card and I was able to find some updated drivers off of driverguide.com, but, they are third party. I ran a diagnostics .exe from my original voodoo3 cd and it tells me that I failed the OS test and I dont have a 3d card. The card is 3d though. I am going to try and change the compatibility to XP (using MS server 2003). I have a GeForce card on my client and it runs fine on XP. Any suggestions where I may be able to get this running? I am going to try finding new drivers from nVidia because it looks like it isn’t being seen as 3d. Any suggestions?

im having the same problem with medal of honor allied assult demo it is freking wierd! i have direct X 9.0 and a nvidia gfx graphic card! there should be no reason why i cant play! i have xp home eddition, ithink that might be the problem but if anyone has the info on how to fix it Emal me at redfusionD@aol.com please help me!

Its quiet simple, 3dfx never fully supported OpenGL, now that they are out of business for over 3 years you dont really expect that their OpenGL support improve, did you?

3dfx played the “you have to support our cards to be a sucess” game and they lost the game over three years ago.

The Voodoo3 dont support:

-AGP Texturing,
-Texures above 256x256
-32 bit rendering
-cubemapping
-dot3mapping
-hardware transform and lighting
-and so forth…

Compared to any “todays” cheap cards any Voodoo card ever build is a POS.

<sarcastic humor>

How dare you insult Voodoo cards! They are the best cards ever made and I should be able to use mine forever! </sarcastic humor>

Modread,

Just to give you some idea of what Qwerty77 is talking about.

Look at this chart: http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031229/vga-charts-05.html

Oh sorry. Your card doesn’t even rate the lowest of the low on that chart.

Take a look at this chart: http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20021218/vgacharts-05.html

Now you see clear down on the bottom where the Radeon 7000/VE and GeForce2 MX are listed?

Yeah, the Voodoo 3 is below them.
