A long time ago… before the we had ever heard of “LongHorn”
There was a person who had the same Idea;
replace the GDi with DirectX ?

But OpenGL 2.0 will do this much better by far.

So Linux can’t stay behind, there for i think its time for Linux to get a simmilar thing as “LongHorn” only made with OpenGL 2.0.
Where to start
What say you ?

Your too late
There is alreade a project to make a 3d accelerated window menager for x-server.
3Desktop or somthing like that

For LINUX… ?
