Erroneous cylinder normals with "glu_inside"

When using the GLU Quadric primitive function gluCylinder to draw an inside of a cone (or frustum of a cone), setting gluQuadricOrientation = glu_inside, the faces are flipped inwards but the normals obviously aren’t. This causes a wrong light reflection. Any workaround to this?

If you use opengl lighting, use two-sided lighting.
