I have learned from another posting that the shadows created in Doom 3 are created by Projective texture mapping. But i have also heard that there are NO light mapps of any kind in Doom 3, how on earth do they create ambient lighting effects, as well as wall marks where the light is shining at them? Those used to be done with lightmaps. But for the life of me, i cant figure out how they are doing them now.

what ever you want. rtfm, nvidia has tons, with great description, ati does have, too (but not that much ), and there are tons of examples showing how to do it on different hw with different methods)
