doom 3 and opengl 2.0 questions

The scary part is that i810 is a MAJOR seller, and so will be the i845.

All integrated gfx chipsets seem to be at least 3, 4, or more generations behind.

Then people wonder why developers pick the consoles to write games on.

Of course, it don’t help that we are getting “new” cards that aren’t really new at all it terms of features cough gf4MX linecough.

I bet by 2005 we will finally have gf3 level performance in integrated systems.

At least CPU speeds are now at 1GHz minimum for low end systems.

I wonder if today’s software renderer would not beet i84x
