Dear friend I will try as you said, but I have a Notebook with ATI Rage Mobility Board.
Do you think the driver could be the same as you?
The game is not running is Return to Castle Wolf…

- Uninstall the game
2)download drivers 52.16 for XP from Nvidia
3)install the new drivers- update the drivers (right click on desktop - properties - settings - advanced - adapter - properties - driver - update driver - install from a list or specific location - dont search.I will choose the driver to install - select driver 52.16 and OK
- reinstall the game
and it works just fine. I tried EVERYTHING before and couldnt get to play it. I guess that the problem refers to the video drivers and the XP and causes the game to crash. So try installing the lattest drivers!!!
Hope this helps[/b]
I have an Compaq Evo N800w P4 @ 2.2gh running Win2k, ati radeon 9000 FireGL Mobility. I get the same error as everyone else for Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I don’t have the Dme=0 (or whatever) and I have tried moving opengl32.dll to the GameData folder. I have all the latest drives for the video card and DirextX 8.1.
Can anyone help me?
Used to have the same problem, until i read all the posts here, i got JK2 and RTCW working in a P4 1.5, on WXP and a crappy SIS300/305.
Don´t know what did it, but here’s all I did:
1.- Latest drivers for graphics card
2.- Latest updates for Windows
3.- Copied opengl files from C:/Program Files/Return to Castle Wolfenstein to C:/Windows/System and also to C:/Windows/System 32.
4.- Looked for “DVA=0” in Win.ini (was not there thou, but u should look for it)
5.- In Display settings, set the hardware acceleration bar to full acceleration mode.
Just keep trying, something will work.
I recently upgraded to a radeon 9600 pro. I am having the opengl problems on JKII. I tried loading the latest drivers off ATI’s website, but it actually made things worse. My screen would just go black every time I tried to start my computer. I had to reload the original disk drivers to get everything else to work. Any suggestions?

It seems the Microsoft video driver for the ATI Mobility 128 card does not support OpenGL. IBM, the laptop manufacturer, does not have any driver for XP that supports OpenGL either. Any ideas?
I tried everything too. Then I found a posting that worked. I set the screen area to 640x480 then I ran the game. It works. I use 98se and right click on the desktop then click properties>settings then move the slider bar to the left. It also works with a setting of 800x600. I guess opengl doesnt’ like the screen to be set higher then the game. When done with the game just set the area back. Hope this helps.

Ok guys, I have 98 550 Mhz, 32 meg 3dfx Voodoo 3 and I’m trying to run Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Ill get in an internet game and after a minute or 2 it crashes back to Wolfs main screen with an error message box:
Unknown OpenGL Export and refers to some 5dll.
Ive tried downloading drivers for my card, OpenGl drivers and no luck. Anybody have any idea?
oh yeah, it worked fine untill a week ago, then hasnt worked since. ive been playing RTCW for over a year on this machine.
i cant find the DVA = 0 line either
I had the same Opengl problem, when I installed WinXP and tried to play cstrike. Well, got bored to XP and installed Win2000, which still has the same prblm (XP and 2k almoust same thing 'aight??). I have Nvidia MX400 and read thru allkinda forums and tried many “solutions”. None of them worked. Then I started trying older drivers and came up with working driver (detonator 22.80). I don’t know does this work with everyone but at least with Nvidia owners. Now been playing few months with these old drivers and still waiting for some upgrade from Nvidia, microsoft or openGL crew to fix this annoying prblm. U’ll have to do some searching with google, coz Nvidia doesn’t support that old drivers anymore, I think.
Luck.
