Hello. I’m running Debian 12 on a Lenovo Chromebook. There are programs that I’ve used almost daily for years, which stopped launching a few months ago.
From the command line, the error messages I’m receiving are as follows:
Gdk-WARNING **: 12:53:36.637: vkGetPhysicalDeviceSurfaceFormatsKHR(): A surface is no longer available. (VK_ERROR_SURFACE_LOST_KHR) (-1000000000)
Gdk-WARNING **: 12:53:36.644: vkGetPhysicalDeviceSurfaceCapabilitiesKHR(): A surface is no longer available. (VK_ERROR_SURFACE_LOST_KHR) (-1000000000)
Does anyone have any suggestions what I can do to solve this? Because the programs worked regularly for years before suddenly failing to launch, I know that my system can handle them, and I’m assuming that some settings change in an update prompted this issue. I am not a Linux expert or a Vulkan expert, so if there’s anything I have left out that could be helpful in diagnosing this issue, I apologize.
Thank you.
