Chaotic File Structures: *.3DS files

Hi there!

Is there anyone who knows how to bypass the OBJECT NAME string on the 0x4000h Chunk? More generally, is there any definite rule about string length in a 3DS File? If such a thing does exist do they change depending on the 3D Studio version involved in the creation of the file?
