Call of Duty not working!!

Playing a game called ‘Call of Duty’, when i try to open the game it comes up with the following error message:

Could not load OpenGL. Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your video card from the manufacturer’s web site.

trying to load the game, in the end of the game’s console it says “couldn’t load opengl subsystem”

For nvidia cards, go there http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp and click “Graphics Drivers” etc…

i updated the driver, and it’s stays the same.
can anyone help?

Well, do you have Matlab installed ? Heard that it can disable OpenGL hardware acceleration.

Else you can run Glinfo
and post what it reports as GL vendor and renderer. It it is Microsoft / gdi generic (software emulation), the graphic drivers were not installed properly or another process steal hardware acceleration, if it is Nvidia, OpenGL should work.

I am running out of ideas.

I know some DirectX progs can do that. Normally multiple OpenGL programs can run at the same time though.

Are you really positive you installed properly the nvidia driver ? In display control panel, can go to advanced, clisk on the nvidia tabs, and post the driver version it says ?
