Billboard issue

Hi !

I’m currently working on billboard in my webgl game.
I’m using the spherical method in lightouse3D

And having the correct result:

So, what is the problem ? -> It leans back into walls…
Is there a way to keep the same result but without having this issue ? (fix the billboard in the vertical plane but stay front of the camera).

I find this topic related to the same problem, but even if I understand the way to process I’m not able to do this Maths stuff alone (I’m not enough familiarize with 3D maths). And I can’t bump a topic one year later…

Please someone can help me to find a solution ?
