ARB_npot and GENERATE_MIPMAP

I’m using non-power of two textures for some full screen render to texture. If I enable GENERATE_MIPMAP, it seems like the generation is done in software.

Setting my viewport to power-of-two dimensions gets things back up to speed.

Will the GeForce 6 series ever accelerate mipmap generation for npot textures? ( cass? :slight_smile: )
